Councillors set to address North-South Relations

The final CEC seminar of the year will take place at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen on 2nd and 3rd December, with councillors outlining the views of ten political parties on ‘North-South Political Relations in the 21st Century’.

A general discussion panel will follow the papers of the political parties, which shall be delivered by sitting councillors from those parties. This will allow the Confederation to address fundamental issues with an audience of members from all political persuasions.

Guest speaker at dinner on 2nd December will be Trevor Ringland. Trevor is a solicitor and Chairman of the One Small Step Campaign who featured prominently as an international rugby player for Ireland in the 1980s. The One Small Step Campaign aims to give individuals and groups the opportunity to recognise the importance of their role in peace building, and to create opportunities for all to take action in securing a peaceful and meaningful future.
