CEC Programme of Events for 2004
 

The programme schedule for 2004 is outlined below. This includes two seminars, two training days as well as our annual conference.

The Annual Conference of the Local Authorities Members Association (LAMA) took place in Ennis, Co. Clare on the 15th and 16th March. The Annual Conference for the National Association of Councillors (NAC - Northern Ireland) will take place on the 16th and 17th September.

Seminar on 'Rural Communities and their Future Needs'

The first of our seminars will include speakers from agricultural, governmental, planning and cross-border organisations and will highlight case studies of successful rural and community groups.

Training Seminar on 'EU Structures and Funding'

To coincide with the Day of Enlargement, and in advance of the European elections in June, we will host a one-day training seminar on the structures and funding of the EU, while discussing relevant issues on enlargement and the constitution.

Training Seminar on 'CEC and it's Role for Councillors'

Our second training seminar will introduce newly elected councillors in the Republic of Ireland to the Confederation and the existing councillors from both jurisdictions.
